The SAPC is happy to present to the profession eight newly appointed and promoted employees, who bring a diversity of skills, experience and capabilities to help fulfil its legislative mandate.

The South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) is happy to present to the profession eight (8) newly appointed and promoted employees, who have undergone a rigorous selection process. They bring with them a diversity of skills, experience and capabilities to help the SAPC fulfil its legislative mandate.

Appointments

Mr Bonginkosi Mkhatshwa – Senior Manager: Information Technology. Mr Mkhatshwa joined the SAPC in August 2024 with over thirteen (13) years of diverse IT experience, holding a Master’s in Information Technology: ICT Management from the University of Pretoria. He is responsible for managing the ICT infrastructure, data security and driving digital transformation initiatives.

Mr Glen Bvuma – Manager: Communication and Media. Mr Bvuma joined the SAPC in May 2024. A PhD candidate holding a Master’s in Communication Management from the University of Pretoria, he brings fifteen (15) years of experience in the communication and media field, and has won a PRISM Award for his work.

Ms Lisbeth Gumede – Manager: Pre-registration. Ms Gumede joined the SAPC in December 2023 with over ten (10) years of experience as a pharmacist, holding a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Cum Laude) from North-West University and a Master of Pharmacy in Public Health and Pharmacy Management from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University.

Ms Busisiwe Nyaba – Human Resources: Officer. Ms Nyaba joined the SAPC in July 2024, holding an Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Mangosuthu University of Technology.

Ms Boledi Petja – Communication and Language Support Intern. Ms Petja joined the SAPC in March 2024, holding an Honours degree in English Literature and Media Studies from the University of Venda.

Mr Bongile Cekiso – Communication and Language Support Intern. Mr Cekiso joined the SAPC in March 2024, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Languages from the University of Pretoria, with majors in English and French.

Ms Comfort Mogoaneng – Content Development and Communication Support Intern. Ms Mogoaneng joined the SAPC in March 2024, holding a Diploma in Media and Journalism from the Tshwane University of Technology.

Promotions

Ms Sibulele Malongwe – Human Resources: Practitioner. Ms Malongwe joined the SAPC in 2018 as a Human Resources: Officer and was promoted to Practitioner: Human Resources in February 2024, bringing six (6) years of experience and expertise in human resources.
