Engaging the Profession: Council Ensures Insightful Presence at Industry Conferences

In the ever-evolving landscape of healthcare, staying at the forefront of best practice, industry trends and technological advancements is imperative. The South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) has consistently demonstrated its commitment to the pharmacy profession’s ongoing professional development by actively participating in professional and industry conferences, which provide a valuable platform for knowledge sharing.

Council received invites from the organisers of two pharmacy conferences and ensured its presence at both, to engage delegates and resolve any queries registered persons may have.

1. 7th ICPA Conference and Exhibition

Council was represented at the 7th Independent Community Pharmacy Association (ICPA) Conference and Exhibition, which took place from 14–15 October 2023 at the Sandton Convention Centre.

2. Gauteng Annual Provincial Pharmaceutical Services Conference

Ms Hlone Masiza, Senior Manager: Pharmacy Education in the Office of the Registrar, delivered a keynote address at the Gauteng Annual Provincial Pharmaceutical Services Conference. Her address focused on the Pharmacy Technician cadre and the related qualification.
