As at August 2026, nine institutions are approved to offer the Bachelor of Pharmacy, alongside accredited Pharmacy Support Personnel qualifications.

The CPD for PSPs Portal has launched to more than 5 000 attendees ahead of the compliance start date to be pronounced by Council.

This is the most current and updated list of registered assessors and moderators of pharmacy education and training, published on 5 December 2024.

Members of the public and the profession are advised that, as at October 2024, this list comprises the only approved providers of pharmacy education and training and the accredited courses.

The SAPC has announced the phase-out of two qualifications for Pharmacist's Assistants, with a teach-out period for current learners extending until 30 June 2027.

2024 has been a busy year for Pharmacist Interns and Pharmacy Support Personnel with the pre-registration examinations, EISA for Pharmacist's Assistants and professional examinations for foreign-qualified persons.

Each year and by 31 December, registered pharmacists are required to record and submit at least six Continuing Professional Development entries.

Assessors of pharmacy education and training are pharmacists registered by the SAPC to measure outcomes of pharmacy education and training.

As at April 2024, this list comprises the only approved providers of pharmacy education and training, and the courses approved/accredited by the South African Pharmacy Council.
